Standing up for Hamilton Centre

Sarah Jama is a bridge builder, a community connector and a Fighter. She is the Member of Provincial Parliament for Hamilton Centre and Critic for Youth & Disability Justice.

Sarah’s approach to government: public policy should be driven by a desire to improve outcomes, increase access to supportive programs and to work upstream to get to the root cause of problems.

Sarah won the OFL Young Workers Award in 2022, was a CUPE 3906 Member and the Unit 2 Strike Committee Co-Chair. She is the founder and former Executive Director of the Disability Justice Network of Ontario, which has provided support to hundreds of Hamiltonians including food, assistive devices, and advocacy.

Her goal is to improve the material conditions of Ontarians, build broad solidarity and win a better world for us all.
